Everyone in my family knows I’m crazy when it comes to rice. This soft & fluffy turmeric rice is so easy to make yet loaded with heavenly aromas in every bite. comes together in less than 20 minutes on the stovetop. and the perfect side dish for grilled meats, chicken, or seafood!

Yellow Rice

  • 3 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 3 whole green cardamom
  • 1 cinnamon sticks
  1. In a large pot over medium heat, heat up the olive oil,butter Add the cardamom and cinnamon sticks,salt,black pepper,turmeric and stir for a few minutes.
  2. Wash and rinse the rice before adding it into the pot
    Stir gently for a few minutes, being careful not to break up the rice grains. Add the chicken broth and water Bring to a boil.
  3. Once the surface of the rice is bubbling which should take 3-5 minutes cover with a tight fitting lid, reduce the heat to low and cook for 20 minutes.
  4. After 20 minutes, turn the heat off and open the lid. Fluff very gently with a fork. Cover and allow it to rest for 10 minutes enjoy.
