  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ yellow onion diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 ribs celery sliced thin
  • 1 cup frozen mixed
    vegetables
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons white flour
  • 2 tablespoons tomato
    paste
  • 1 ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoons Worcestershire
  • ½ teaspoon finely chopped thyme
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  1. Peel and quarter the potatoes and put them in pot.

  2. Drain the potatoes, then return to the pot and mash with a potato masher.Add milk, butter, salt,black pepper and garlic powder and continue mashing until smooth. Cover and set aside.

  4. Sprinkle salt, black pepper and flour over the pan. Cook for 2 minutes. Stir in tomato paste,Worcestershire and cook, about 1 minute.
  5. Then stir in broth, herbs and peas, simmer 4-5 minutes and then let cool in baking dish.
  6. Preheat the oven to 400°F . Spread the mashed potatoes over the cold filling.Sprinkle with the cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden enjoy.
