RICE WITH LEMON AND OREGANO

Your family will love this light and flavorful rice. Seasoned with garlic, oregano, and fresh lemon this easy to prepare side dish goes great with your favorite choice of main for a delicious dinner or lunch !

RICE WITH LEMON AND OREGANO

  • 3 cups jasmine Rice
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon Pepper
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zested
  1. Place the rice into a strainer and rinse it under cool running water until the water coming from the rice runs clear.
  2. Add the olive oil to a large pot and heat over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and the rice. Continue cooking over medium-high heat, stirring constantly 3 minutes.
  3. Add the oregano, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and chicken broth then stir well. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, then cover the pot and allow it to simmer for about 20 minutes or until all of the liquid has been absorbed and the rice is tender. Remove from heat, and fluff the rice with a fork add lemon zest and Serve enjoy.
