This tender shredded pork has been slow-cooked for hours in a sweet and tangy sauce.
Ingredients
- 4-6 pounds pork shoulder roast (or boneless pork loin)
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bottle your favorite BBQ sauce
Instructions
- Rinse the pork shoulder and pat dry.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper and garlic and onion powder and place in your slow cooker.
- Pour in apple juice and liquid smoke all around the sides of the pork.
- Cook on low setting for 4 hours, until the pork is very tender.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and discard the remaining liquid.
- Remove the bone and shred the pork
- Place the shredded meat onto a hamburger bun and add the desired amount of sauce per sandwich enjoy .
