Orange Cardamom Rolls

Orange Cardamom Rolls
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 packets yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups warm milk
- 5 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
(Cardamom Filling) - 5 tablespoon butter, softened
- 1 tablespoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon orange Zest
(Orange Glaze) - 2 cups powdered sugar
- 4 tablespoon orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange Zest
- In a small bowl, stir the yeast, granulated sugar in warm milk until dissolved. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, stir together melted butter, salt, and egg. Add flour and Stir in the yeast mixture. until the mixture turns into a dough.
- Dust a clean, dry, and flat surface with flour. Knead the dough for 5 to 10 minutes. Add more flour if the dough is too sticky. Transfer the dough to a well-greased bowl and let rise until doubled, about 1 hours.
- Punch down the dough to remove air bubbles. With a rolling pin, roll the dough into a 15×9-inch rectangle. Spread the melted butter over the dough. In a bowl, combine brown sugar and cardamom, orange. zest. Sprinkle mixture over the dough.
- Roll the dough lengthwise towards you and finish with the seam side down so the filling is sealed in. Pinch the edges to seal the roll. Slice into 12 slices.
- Grease a baking pan with butter. Place the roll slices in the pan. Set aside until the dough has doubled in size, about 20 minutes.Bake rolls in a preheated 350 °F oven for about 25-30 minutes or until browned.
