GOLDEN CURRY BEEF
Japanese curry is nothing like other curries you have seen or imagined. It’s more like a cross between stew and curry. It’s a thick, rich, velvety and glossy concoction that’s sweet, savory and umami in nature Make this recipe for a comforting winter stew!
GOLDEN CURRY BEEF
- 1 lb beef chuck cut into
bite sized pieces - ½ yellow onion diced
- 2 potatoes, cut into large chunks
- 1 carrots, cut into large chunks
- ½ block Golden Curry Sauce Mix
- 1 garlic, minced
- 3 cups water
- 2 tablespoon cooking oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Season beef chunks with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large
pot over medium high heat. Add beef chunks and sear till
they get a brown color all over. same pot, sauté chopped
onions till golden brown. Add in garlic and cook for a couple
of minutes. - Add in potatoes and carrots, along with beef chunks and
mix well. Stir in water and bring it to a boil. Lower the heat to
medium low and simmer, covered, for 30-35 minutes, stirring
occasionally. Cook till meat is tender. - Add in ½ block Golden Curry Sauce Mix and stir till it dissolves. Cook for 10 minutes. serve with steamed rice enjoy .
