COWBOY CHILI

This recipe is everything you can ask for in a chili. Everyone loves a warm bowl of delicious chili and this Cowboy Chili Recipe does not disappoint. This family friendly meal is loaded with hearty beef, beans, tomatoes and more !

COWBOY CHILI

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 3/4-inch pieces
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cans of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cans of drained kidney beans
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  1. Turn instant pot to “sauté” mode and add the oil to the pot. Season meat with salt and pepper.
  2. Working in batches, add the meat and brown for 3 minutes. (Make sure not to overcrowd the pot, do this step in 2 batches)Remove the meat onto a plate.
  3. Add the ground beef and Brown it and add onion to the pot. Sauté for 3-5 minutes, or until softened.
  4. Add the remaining , meat, chili powder, cumin, sugar, garlic, cayenne pepper and stir.
  5. Pour in the tomatoes, beans, and water.Secure lid and make sure the seal is set to “sealing”. Pressure cook on high pressure for 30 minutes. When the time is up, allow the instant pot to release naturally for 15 minutes and turn off.
  6. Remove the lid and gently stir everything together and Serve enjoy .
