Apple Pie Egg Rolls

Apple Pie Egg Rolls

  • 3 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 8 egg roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • CINNAMON SUGAR
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  1. In a medium saucepan combine apples, sugar,cinnamon Stir constantly and cook on a simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and mix in the cornstarch.
  2. Place the wrappers on a clean surface Place 2 tablespoon of apple mixture onto the lower middle of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner up and over the filling then fold in the two outward corners towards the center. brush the remaining corner with water, then roll it up to seal.
  3. Preheat oil in a large stockpot to 350°. Once the oil is heated, place 3 rolls into the oil. Fry for 2 minutes then flip and fry for an additional 2 minutes. Once cooked, carefully remove from the oil and place onto a paper towel.
  4. In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon. Set aside. Once all the egg rolls have been fried and while they are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture enjoy.
