Creme Brûlée Recipe
Crème Brûlée looks fancy, but is quick and easy to make! This dessert has creamy custard filling and a caramelized sugar topping.
• 2 cups heavy whipping cream
• 5 large egg yolks
• 1/2 cup sugar, plus extra for caramelizing
• 2 teaspoon vanilla bean paste
• ⅛ teaspoon salt
• Boiling water
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Heat heavy cream and vanilla in a sauce pan over medium heat until it slightly starts to simmer. Turn off the heat and put the mixture aside.
- In a mixing bowl beat together 5 egg yolks and granulated sugar,salt for about 5 minutes .
Gradually add cream and vanilla mixture to the eggs until well combined, constantly stirring.
3.Pour the mixture into the ramekins.Fill the baking dish with the boiling water halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
- Bake at 325°F for about 30 minutes until Crème Brûlée is set When Crème Brûlée is done, remove it from the baking dish, cool off completely, then cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, sprinkle granulated sugar over the Crème Brûlée, and using a blow-torch, brown the sugar to a crispy top. Enjoy!
